The Kingdom of God!

.

Chapter 29

.

The Apostle Paul said in Rom. 8:28-30, (NKJV)

" "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purposeFor whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

This passage of scripture is packed full of the revelation of the Lord's will concerning those whom He has called into active service in the Kingdom of God. He promised that all things work together for good to a select group of people. Those who are called to fulfill His purpose here on earth. Jesus said in John 6:44,

"No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

Wow! What a statement! No one can come to Jesus without being drawn by the Spirit of the Lord! We can be used of the Lord to present the good news of the Kingdom of God to people but it will be the Spirit of the Lord that will convict them and draw them to the Lord!

Before we were born the Lord wrote a book about our life and what He wanted to accomplish here on earth through us! Last week I wrote this: Rev . 21:12 says,

"I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

Something that most Christians don't know about is, that before you were born, God wrote a book on your life and what He would lead you to accomplish for the Kingdom of God! You were not put here on this earth just because your father and mother decided to have you. The Lord had a designed purpose for you to fulfill for the Kingdom of God.

Psalm 139: 16 tells us that each person has a book in Heaven!

"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book, they all were written, The days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them."

God wrote down in a book the destiny and Kingdom purpose for each of our lives. God saw us in our fleshly form in the earth, before we ever existed. He saw our days. Not just the number of them but He saw the activities in them and what we would accomplish in our life. Our individual book is a written record of all that God planned for us in the Kingdom impact He has for our lives. The battle is to get what is in the book to manifest or be revealed in our life.

Even Jesus had a book. Heb. 10:5-7 tells us that Jesus had a volume of the book that He came into the Earth to fulfill.

"Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: 'Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me.  In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin, you had no pleasure.' Then I said, 'Behold, I have come' In the volume of the book it is written of Me' To do Your will, O God."

There is a book in Heaven that chronicled what Kingdom purpose Jesus would fulfill in the Earth. Jesus came with a passion and a commitment to complete what had been written in the books of Heaven about Him. This is interesting because John said in John 1:14 that Jesus is the Word made flesh.

"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

His physical birth allowed what was written in the book to be manifest in the flesh! Anything God ordained is first written in a book or scroll in Heaven. It must be sent out of Heaven and birthed into the Earth realm before it can become flesh. This is what happened to Jesus, but also to us and everything else that has ever been born into the earth realm!

When we are born into the Earth realm, we began the process of living out our Kingdom purpose as it was written in Heaven in our book. As we meditate on the Word of the Lord and His purpose for each of us is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit, we increasingly become the Word manifest in the flesh just like Jesus. Paul said in Eph. 2:10,

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, that we should walk in them."

Notice that the works that we are to perform was written down and the works we are to do were planned beforehand! There are also books about churches, apostolic networks, businesses, ministries, cities, states, regions and nations. God has an intricate plan for all of His creation and He watches over His word to perform it! The Holy Spirit will reveal His plan for you as you are able to handle the revelation. That is why we must be a seeker of truth and an enforcer of the truth revealed to us!

What the Lord intends for you to do is birthed in your spirit and it takes the presence of the Holy Spirit to reveal it all to you. The only way we can fulfill the Lord's will for us in a book in Heaven, is to have a desire to do His will and allow ourselves to be led by His Spirit. This means that we must have the same attitude that Jesus had; Not my will but your will be done in my life! And this means that we must be born again!

This helps to explain what Paul was talking about when he said,

"For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

To all of you that have been born again, know that God knew you when He placed you in your mother's womb. He predestined you to be conformed in the image of His Son and He justified you and glorified you! You were born at this time to be an influence to all those you come in contact with in your life. Jesus told His disciples in Acts 1:8,

"You shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

We have been told that we must witness to everyone that we come into contact with and this is a good thing to do if there is an opportunity to do so! But Jesus said that we would be a witness to everyone that we come into contact with. The witness is your life, your personality, your demeanor, and the conversation that comes out of your mouth.

That word in Acts 1:8, 'Power' is the Greek word 'dunamis' and it means miracle working power. We get our word 'dynamite' from this word. We have power because we have stored the Word of the Lord in our hearts. His word is powerful. Heb. 4:12 says, (NKJV)

"The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

This is why Paul said in Rom. 12:2,

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

He also told Timothy in 2 Tim. 2:15,

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

There is so much going on in the world today and especially in our nation. We so often hear people talk about the good old days. Having lived 81 years in this great nation of ours, I can tell you that I have seen things change in our nation in the past 20 years that would not have been thought of 30 years ago. It can be attributed to a lot of different things but the most significant happening is the outpouring of spiritual warfare that is taking place in our nation and throughout the world.

I have written to you about some of the evil spirits that are prevalent in our nation. I wrote to you about the Jezebel, Ahab and Baal spirits of old being manifest in our nation. However, next week I want to share with you about a principality spirit that is gripping our nation and how to discern it when it wants to use you. This principality is written about in the Bible several times and it can sneak up on you and use you without you being aware of it!

It is a very powerful principality and only the Lord can destroy it. Paul said in Eph. 6:12,

"We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
